I personally began practicing Pilates in 1990 to ease sports-related pain and muscular imbalances. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Fitness from Shepherd University in 2000, graduating with honors. I am a PMA certified Pilates Instructor, Barre Instructor, Aerial Yoga Teacher, Yoga Teacher, and a Personal Trainer. I learned in 2010 that I have Degenerative Spine Disease and underwent my first cervical spine surgery. At that time, my neurosurgeon urged me to continue doing Pilates for its benefits in spinal alignment, core strength, flexibility, maintenance of muscle tone and muscular balance. I have a passion to bring those same benefits to others that take any of my classes or who are personal training clients of mine. As a personal trainer, I specialize in pelvic floor and core issues, metabolic and hormonal based fitness, and acute or chronic pain management.
