I personally began practicing Pilates in 1990 to ease sports-related pain and muscular imbalances. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Fitness from Shepherd University in 2000, graduating with honors. I am a PMA certified Pilates Instructor, NETA certified Personal Trainer, NETA Barre instructor, and Vaihayasa Aerial Yoga Instructor Level 1, and currently completing my 200 RYT Yoga Teacher training.
I learned in 2010 that I have Degenerative Spine Disease and underwent my first cervical spine surgery. At that time, my neurosurgeon urged me to continue doing Pilates for its benefits in spinal alignment, core strength, flexibility, maintenance of muscle tone and muscular balance.
I have a passion to bring those same benefits to others that take the Pilates class or who are personal training clients of mine. As a personal trainer, I specialize in all issues pelvic floor related, pre- and post-natal care, women’s fitness, and acute or chronic pain management.
